Several events in September are now confirmed.  First, on September 16th in Grand Ledge we will be holding our Masonic Mentoring and Retention Program.  This is a must for all Mentors, and a "really need to be there" event for all Wardens and Masons that will be moving into leadership offices in your Lodges in 2015.  I'll have the event up on the website soon.  But for now, lock out September 16th in Grand Ledge, at the Temple from 7:00 to 9:00!

I'm going to leave this link up for another week.  I think it really is a good video to stir up some conversation and discussion in your Lodge!  What do you think?
In December of last year, CBS Sunday Morning ran a very good segment on the fraternity, you can watch it here:You can check out another of my favorite Grand Lodge websites, this week I've added the Grand Lodge of British Columbia and Yukon for you to investigate.  I visit the site often when planning speaking events or just looking for some information.  You can get there by clicking here:
You can download the Motivations for this week here:  "Motivations 8-18-14"
Here is a nice poem for you entitled    "Charity and I Shall Not Pass this way Again" by authors unknown.

I hope you have a great week!

The (bad) Weekly Joke!
Jay went to a psychiatrist. "Doc, he said, "I've got trouble.
Every time I get into bed I think there is somebody under it.
I get under the bed; I think there's somebody on top of it.
Top, under, under top. I'm going crazy!"
"Just put yourself in my hands for two years," said the shrink.
"Come to me three times a week and I'll cure you."
"How much do you charge?"
"A hundred dollars per visit."
"I'll think about it."
Jay never went back. Some time later he met the doctor on the street.
"Why didn't you ever come to see me again? Asked the psychiatrist.
"For a hundred buck a visit? A bartender cured me for 10 dollars."
"Is that so! How?"
"He told me to cut the legs off the bed."
